I decided to return to college as a young single father with a six-year-old daughter. While attending MCC, I worked two jobs for my town and an additional job at a hospital, but it was still difficult to make ends meet. Thanks to scholarships I received from MCC Foundation, I was able to achieve my goal of becoming a certified occupational therapy assistant. I am so happy to report that I am working as an OTA now and the future is looking brighter for my daughter and I, and the work I do fulfills my dream to be a health care worker, helping people heal and return to their families as soon as possible.
