Bill Hornbuckle's rise to CEO of MGM International had a surprising start at Manchester Community College. Now, he and his wife have generously created an endowed fund that will ensure more students get the same opportunity to start their own journey towards an exciting future.

The Robert and Lena Welensky Endowed Scholarship at CT State Community College Manchester is empowering ESL students to achieve their educational dreams. Honoring a legacy rooted in the values of the American Dream, this fund was made possible by generous $500,000 bequest by Thomas F. Goldman.

Edward and Eleanor Coltman helped shape higher education opportunities in Manchester, Connecticut, through their pivotal roles in founding Manchester Community College and extensive community service. Their son, Ted Coltman, keeps their legacy alive through the Edward and Eleanor Coltman Endowed Scholarship Fund.

MCC Foundation received generous gifts to establish the Cheney Family Endowed Scholarship Fund to support need-based scholarships.

Wood earned a paralegal degree from MCC in 2010. "I appreciate that MCC is accessible to anyone from any stage of life," she said.
